A rat study connects stress-related behavior, prefrontal neuronal activity and TNF-associated inflammation to examine the mechanisms of compound Ciwujia granules.

The study follows succinate through prefrontal microglia, vagal signaling and behavior, examining different routes by which metabolic signals affect brain circuits.

Following contextual retrieval of morphine reward memory, the study shows that hippocampal inputs shape distinct prefrontal populations rather than simply raising regional excitation.

Following histamine-induced scratching in mice, the study connects claustral neurons, thalamic projections and kappa opioid receptors to a defined central drug mechanism.

A mouse study links BNST CRH neurons and CRHR1 signaling to the spread of fear into similar environments.

From choices between familiar and unfamiliar companions to a signal that fails to fade, a male-mouse study follows the links among Fmr1, ERK and social-novelty preference.

A mouse study links astrocyte remodeling and neuronal signals to the modulation of chronic itch and accompanying behavior in the anterior cingulate cortex.

A mouse thalamic map reveals differences within a shared response: nuclei vary in strength, timing and stimulus sensitivity, while PF and PO reach different networks.

Three density levels, clear cellular processes and observations across months: a mouse study tests how sparse labeling can remain bright and withstand time.

A mouse study finds that an intervention after extinction reduces returning fear and links locus coeruleus input, dopamine D2 signaling and amygdala engram activity.

A mouse study follows midbrain microglia, IL-1β signaling and a projection to the BNST to trace a brain pathway for behavior accompanying chronic pain.

A lifted paw drops and a turn widens: observations at different moments of a practiced behavior reveal how dorsolateral striatum supports initiation and ongoing movement.
